Can I use mixed nuts in the Nutr machine?
Absolutely! You can use any variety of your favorite nuts.
- Almond Milk
- Cashew Milk
- Oat Milk
- Soy Milk (make sure to use hot setting)
- Coconut Milk
- Hemp Milk
- Walnut Milk
- Black sesame Milk
- Peanut Milk (with chocolate!)
Do I have to use the HOT function for soy milk?
Yes. Soy milk must be heated to 212 degrees Fahrenheit to be safely consumed.
Is Nutr dishwash safe? How do I clean it?
The machine is not dishwash safe, however, you could hand wash inside the stainless steel and the cap. A dedicated brush is provided in the nutr machine set. The strainer is really easy to clean, too! Just rinse it and let it air dry.
Will I need to soak the nuts/seeds overnight?
Nope! That's the best part about Nutr - our blade and motor inside of the machine is very powerful, and it has heating function, you can enjoy warm and fluffy nut milk without any hassle!
Will I need to strain the milk before drinking it?
There is a small amount of pulp after each blend, however, you can choose to drink the pulp (very nutritious!) or without. If you choose to filter out the pulp, we have provided an external filter in the kit along with the nutr, so you can use it with any cup you have and enjoy the pulp-free plant milk!
Is warm nut milk okay to drink?
Yes! Warm nut milk is a delicious treat on a chilly day. (only soymilk needs to reach 212F to be safely consumed)
Can I refrigerate my nut milk to save it for later?
Absolutely but remember, the milk has no preservatives. We recommend drinking your refrigerated nut milk within 2 days. Because we are focused on single serving, you can always enjoy fresh nut milk!
Does it matter what kind of oats I use in the Nutr?
Nope. You may use old fashioned or quick oats. We recommend using cold water since hot water could make the oat milk slimy.
What are the health benefits of nut milk?
If you are lactose intolerant, nut milk is an excellent alternative to dairy milk. Almond milk specifically is a good source of Vitamin E. It’s low in calories, carbs and cholesterol, and is a good source of Magnesium. Almond milk also contains antioxidants which are important for reducing damage from free radicals.
